However, villages usually remain untouched and ignored because people do not find anything spectacular about them. There are some villages across the globe that do not relate to this at all. Yangsi, China

Also known as, the Chinese little people village, Yangsi is a remote village in the Sichuan Province. Surprising though, but 40 percent of residents there are dwarfs. Tallest among the dwarf population is 3ft. 10inches, and the shortest is 2ft. 1 inch. Nobody knows the real why, but some theories suggest a mysterious disease and the mercury in soil are responsible.

Kodinhi, India

Kodinhi is a remote village in Kerala that got so famous globally. The reason for its worldwide popularity is the rate of identical twin births, which is unusually high. This phenomenon is three generations old, and 45 in every 1000 births are identical twins. The village has become famous as the “Twin Town.”

Again, an Indian village that is so popular worldwide is the Shani Shingnapur village, or people know it as the village without doors. None of the homes, schools and even banks there has doors. It is the belief of people in this village in Maharashtra that they do not need to do anything for their security. They even keep their jewelry and money in unlocked containers. They believe deity Shani (the God of Saturn) is there to take care of them.

The Dementia Village

You will be shocked and surprised to know of this Dutch village, also known as the Dementia village. It comprises of 152 residents who all suffer from Alzheimer’s and a variety of other memory problems. The village is a security set up that is designed to look as a normal town having shops, restaurants, a square, garden, and a post office.

The inhabitants are free to shop there and roam, and the security cameras keep an eye on all of them so that they are safe all the time. Caretakers of the inhabitants visit the town to spend time there, and this village has a single door that lets people in and out.
