CES 2013: LG presents EA9800 super-slim, curved OLED TV

At the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Korean electronics giant LG announced the addition of a super-thin, curved screen to its OLED TV lineup, in response to Samsug. The new EA9800 OLED TV enjoys a curved screen and boasts LG’s proprietary WRGB technology and full CINEMA 3D support. The 55-inch model guarantees ultimate viewing experience for the consumers and its gentle inward flex keeps all the screen surface equidistant to the viewer’s eyes, thereby eliminating the issue of screen edge visual distortion and detail loss.

The WRGB Four-Color Pixel system featuring a white sub-pixel works in parallel with the RGB setup to deliver realistic picture quality. The incredibly narrow screen bezel makes for truly immersive 2D and 3D viewing experience. The sliding touch key below the screen lets users control the OLED TV’s basic functions easily. There is no word on the pricing or availability for the LG EA9800 curved OLED TV.
