Created to depict ‘Wild Romance’, Princess Diana’s wedding dress came with a huge skirt and a tiny waist. The silk taffeta creation came hand embroidered with 10,000 pearls and hundreds of sequins and big puffy sleeves, a frilly neckline and antique lace decoration. The dress was finished with a 25ft long train.

Blending tradition and modernity, Kate Middleton’s wedding gown featured a hand-cut French Chantilly and English lace appliqué and satin bodice. The white satin gazar and ivory satin main body of the dress covered a silk tulle and English Cluny lace underskirt with a Victorian-inspired semi-bustle at the back. The dress came with a shortish 110 in bridal train.
