With soy, sperm count down begins!

fertility and soy
You might be consuming soy considering it a rich source of protein. Of course, it’s. However, after knowing findings of a new study, your opinion might take a twist.

Till now, soy was being dubbed as a food that hits women fertility but this time a new study, covering around 100 men, has come out adding another chapter to it. It says that eating soy might also bring down sperm count in men.

As per the findings of this study, men with average soy food intake of 0.5 servings a day had 41 million sperm per milliliter less than their counterparts who consumed no soy at all. However, measured sperm motility and morphology were not affected by soy consumption in men.

How far latest findings are conclusive, very difficult to say at this time, as some studies have also come out refuting the theory which dubs soy as an anti-fertility diet. So, a bit tricky situation for soy-lovers!
