Tips to keep your skin from shining with oil

Shine is an important feature every girl or guy wants they face to have. However, excessive shining due to oily face can be nightmare. Mentioned below are tips to get some keep the extra shine away from your skin and make it look beautiful especially during summer:

Avoid heavy makeup

Heavy Makeup is a complete no during summers. The more the makeup, the more the skin is clogged and the more it is expected to lose shine. You can instead use a primer or a tinted moisturizer or BB cream.

Regular use of toner

Acne cleanser

Using sunblock

Sunblocks help reduce shine caused due to heavy sun exposure. You can try mineral based sunblocks, especially the ones that contain titanium oxide, micronized zinc and denatured alcohol.

Carrying blotting paper

Many apply powder constantly on their face to make the skin look dry. However, excessive use of powder can cause clogging of pores, leading to skin irritation. Hence, dabbing the skin with blotting paper regularly throughout the day can keep the oil secretion in control.

Avoid using night creams

Night creams are thick in nature and contain oil. These can be harmful to oily or combination skin types. Instead, you can use lotion or serum that is water based.

Use toner twice

You can use toner more number of times a day than it regularly used. Toners help to keep the shine away and make your skin look fresh.

Use translucent loose powder

Always use powder that is loose and is translucent.

Avoid spicy and oily food

Oily or hot and spicy food should be avoided during summer. This food can increase the production of oil in the skin, as they make you sweat a lot. Hence, it is advised to control hogging on deep fried, spicy and extra oily food.

Avoid touching your hands frequently

Sweaty hands contain germs and bacteria. Moreover, shiny oily face if touched regularly with non-sanitized hands can cause the bacteria and germs to stick to the face and cause infection.
