How to Get Rid of Dandruff

Dandruff is a very common problem with hair. It can be quite annoying and embarrassing. Dandruff are basically the excessively shedding dead skin cells of the scalp which make your hair look dirty. They also fall on your shoulders and leave you embarrassed. Also, they weaken the hair roots that leads to hair fall. Dandruff can be controlled by using some good hair care products that can keep the scalp healthy and clean. Here’are some simple solutions of preventing dandruff using household products. Read on.

Instructions:

1. Use yogurt

  • Yogurt is known to be a very good conditioner and is easily available in every household.
  • You can use yogurt to get rid of the irritating dandruff, all you need to do is wash the hair and apply about a cup of yogurt on it. Leave your hair for about 20 minutes. You can use a towel to tie around the hair if you want to avoid dripping.
  • Wash your hair again after 30 minutes with a mild shampoo.

2. Go for cedar wood oil

  • Take about 7 drops of cedar wood cypress oil and ten drops of juniper. Mix these oils in 50 milliliter of carrier oil. Use this mixture on scalp and let it be for at least an hour.
  • Wash your hair with a mild shampoo to remove the oils. Use warm water to rinse the hair.
  • You can also add few drops of these oils in water to be used for rinsing hair. This will help in keeping the dandruff at bay.

3. Squeeze some lemon juice

  • Lemon juice does great magic to the hair and also leaves a nice citrus fragrance.
  • You will have to take juice of two lemons and apply it on your hair in the shower. Gently massage the lemon juice in the entire length of hair and also the scalp.
  • Rinse the lemon juice with warm water.

4. Apple cider vinegar

  • Wash your hair normally like you always do and then pour some apple cider vinegar onto your hair. Rub the vinegar on your scalp properly and carefully so that it does not enter your eyes.
  • Leave the vinegar in your hair for 15 minutes so that it gets soaked properly. Later, rinse your hair with water.
  • Do not worry about the smell as it will fade away once the hair gets dry. Use this method at least once in a week to keep dandruff away.

5. Apply baby oil

  • Apply good amount of baby oil in your hair and scalp. Rub it properly into the entire scalp.
  • Cover your hair with a towel for the night.
  • Wash your hair with an anti-dandruff shampoo the following day. This will leave the hair soft and dandruff-free.

6. Use coconut oil to keep dandruff away

  • Wash your hair with water, remember not to use any conditioner after the wash.
  • Apply some coconut oil only to your scalp and rub it.
  • Wash the hair after ten minutes with a mild anti-dandruff shampoo and apply conditioner if you desire.
  • This method must be followed at least twice in a week for best results.

Infusion can be easily prepared at home using some dried herbs and water. Take a teapot full of water and add a spoon full of dried herbs.
