Public officials dispelled all fears of human-to-human transmission of bird flu. They concluded that Ronarit Benphat had not deranged the bird flu virus from his father, who died of bird flu last week. They might have come to this conclusion after studying the root cause: both the father and son were handling sick chickens in the neighborhood. Corresponding to this Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said that it is safe to eat chickens affected with bird flu, but they tend to be dangerous when handled raw.
