Bush: Futile favors to drug companies

The fact that President George Bush has given a $7.1bn package for vaccine production has brought in some relief as far as future funding is concerned. But the President’s proposals to reduce liability of the drug companies, will need further probe with respect to its usefulness.
The very reason that the drugs manufactured by the vaccine industries will have to pass through various diagnostic tests makes it unaffordable at this point of a flu outbreak. This makes the drugs unreliable. Bush must realize the fact that amendments in his proposal have to be made keeping the current bird flu status in the forefront.
