2010: China setting goals for eradicating AIDS

The first international seminar on sexually transmitted diseases has set its goals to curb HIV/AIDS from China by 2010. China will be taking initiatives to control the spread of HIV/AIDS, which it suspects might cross 10bn, by 2010.
China has already taken measures to eliminate the possibilities of widespread HIV/AIDS, by attaching importance to the usage of condoms and practicing safe sex. The Government has also aided free-checkups and medical treatment for sufferers. While AIDS vaccine is still in the midst of clinical trials, Chinese traditional medicines have proven to be both cost-effective and efficient in comparison to Western medicines in dealing with AIDS.
China is not sticking to traditional medicines; it has invited the ideas of many participants all over Germany, Australia, and the US, who will be analyzing the various medical and technological developments made in the domain of HIV/AIDS.
