Wind Turbine produces 500 gallons of water sans emissions

Gazing at a future renewable resource, a French SME Aeolus Water (formerly Aeolus Tech) has devised a patented 14-meter high wind turbine prototype, dubbed as mobile WMS 500 “. Under ideal conditions, it produces about 514 gallons of water in 24 hours by condensing the moisture in the air and that too, without releasing carbon emissions. Depending on both the temperature and relative humidity, the quantity of water produced keeps on fluctuating. Currently, Aeolus Water is looking for financial partners to commercialize the technology.

• Australia’s Maxwell Edmund Whisson invented a similar prototype in 2007. However, the avant-garde windmill design in 2007 could not be commercialized.

• Holland-based Dutch Rainmaker developed a prototype capable of producing as much as 500 liters (132 gallons) of water per day from the air, with a pilot installed in Germany.
