We generally cannot understand that what exactly going on in their mind but we can easily recognize that something is wrong with them. This also helps them to manage their emotions and to get along with their feelings. Teens are affected more with this type of problem and this can lead to several emotional problems in them. This can be the main cause of depression in teens. In this stage, they become self centered and want to seek more attention. If they do not get enough attention and importance then this leads to emotional problems, stress and depression in them.

Parents play an important role in the development of their children as the children rely on their parents for everything. Parents can help them in rising and can be a responsible for failing of kids as kids learn what they see at home and in the family. Sometimes, parents thought that the kid is very small and he needs their help and protection but problem occurs when the protection and the love of parents become hurdle for child.

The main motive of parents is to facilitate or provide everything to their kid and for this; they provide more than actual needs of the kid. As a result, the kid gets the habit of getting everything without doing anything and this leads to a casual attitude of the kids. Parents should improve these skills in them, as this will help them to improve their parental modeling as poor coping skills can lead to poor parental modeling. This may further affect the bonding between parents and their kids. This may cause negativity in the behavior of both parents and kids. As a result, this can appear as continuous fighting, yelling, and arguing in the family.

According to a report, lack of coping skills leads to low self-esteem and this definitely will give birth to problems like stress and depression. That is why, it is important for the parents to boost self – confidence in their children and help them to achieve more in their lives.

Sometimes, low coping skills can lead to substance abuse in teens. Therefore, parents must have check on their kids. They should know everything about their kids and their friend circles.
