Justin Timberlake’s golf course

Justin Timberlake, while opening his golf course in Tennessee, is all set to lure his fans with the green initiative. Having bought this property almost two years ago, he’s there, just in time, to prevent any commercial use of this natural habitat. The Mirimichi golf course, after a $16 million revamp, will dedicate itself to golfers on June 25. Moreover, it is the first golf course ever to be certified by the Audubon Classic Sanctuary Program and touts the first Platinum LEED certification also.

It will certainly reduce the manicure acreage on the golf course and make it a pleasant resort. Under the able guidance of Talent Golf, one of the nation’s leading golf course development firms, it has evolved to be a perfectly eco-friendly place for the game lovers. The compelling transformation includes a reflective coating on parking lots to reduce the heat footprint, effective re-utilization of rainwater run-off and an efficient irrigation system to reduce water usage and wastage.

And that’s not all, the golf course will utilize geothermal heating and cooling, solar energy for electricity-related needs. Mirimichi reports it to be the first golf course to deliver energy back to the main grid.
