The UK’s leading coffin manufacturer, JC Atkinson and Son, joins hands with Hainsworth, a Yorkshire-based specialty textile firm, to help the departed souls lie in green peace. The partners offer 100% British wool-made coffins and ash caskets that are best suited for all cremations and burials. The coffins are crafted in pure wool and are latched onto a recycled cardboard frame. Though one hardly cares how his or her cadaver is treated after the final adieu, the firm still offers matching caskets with neat embroidery. However, it will definitely lower the environmental impact of burials.
Innovative and green product range:
• The Swaledale coffin is made of pure new wool. The interior is lined with cotton and is edged in jute. A personalized, embroidered woolen nameplate is there for making it a stylish, sustainable cremation. Complementing it are the Swaledale caskets that keep the ashes within a strong cardboard container.
• The other product i.e. Wharfedale coffin is crafted in heavy organic cotton with cotton interior and jute edges. The designer Wharfedale cotton ash caskets are in perfect harmony with coffins.
Hainsworth will manufacture coffins at the Leeds mill while JC Atkinson will take care of sales.
