Bright start against global warming by United Nations

Vebjorn Sand, Norwegian painter and artist has created an ice bridge made out of frozen Antarctic water to create awareness among people on global warming. Placed just outside the U.N. headquarters, this effort by Sand gives us a clear message that we are in a mandatory position to save our world for the future. In the recently concluded talks in Bali, 200 nations have agreed to fight global warming. This is a great step towards instigating a new effort against global warming.

This ice bridge is inspired form Leonardo Da Vinci’s ‘Golden Horn’ bridge design. It’s high time that the U.N. took notice of it and gave it a lift to the top of its agenda. The change in climatic conditions is of such deep concern that it has to be handled properly and immediately. This melting bridge will serve as a powerful remainder about the disastrous effects of global warming and make people think. This effort is intended to make people notice about the rapidly melting Antarctic sheet. This is surely a bright start for the United Nations in its act against global warming.
