She had no other job but to take care of her children and cater to all their needs. The father was only entrusted with the responsibly of earning for the family and spending time with the family on occasionally.
The new parents as kids did not have enough options like the kids today in terms of education, leisure and hobby. They were exposed only to very few and common things like an occasional movie or an outing. But today, the situation is different. The children have a lot of option be it in their education, choosing their friends or spending time on entertainment.
The parents of the new age parents could easily monitor what their children were up to even without the help of the high-tech monitoring devices available today. Unlike today, computer and internet was not common in those days. So the parents did not have t to worry about the kids as the parents today do.

The advent of technology has made it very challenging to take care of today’s child. They have access to the internet and have a lot of freedom when compared to the past. 1. Value of time and labor
Parents of the new parents had great regard for time and labor. They used to plan their work well and follow it perfectly. This gave them a lot of time to spend with their family and teach them a lot of things while being together. Today, the new parents lack time and find it very hard even to participate in family get-together or spend some quality time with their children. Though they understand the importance of time, their lifestyle demands them to be so.
2. Respect for others
As children, the new age parents learnt a lot of lessons from their parents. One of the most important one is respecting others, especially the elders. Today’s young generation lacks this specific quality and is very rare to find. They are simply concerned about themselves. Parents of the new parents had to live with joint families where they were taught to respect their elders and give them some consideration. Whereas, the new parents are on their own and do not have the opportunity to live with other family members.
3. Savings
This is one of the biggest lessons to be learnt from the parents of the new parents. They learnt to build up a strong savings that was meant for their future. They were able to see the requirements of the future and take the necessary steps to save whatever possible. This is not so with most of the new age parents. Perhaps, it is the demands of the modern life and the way of life that give very little room for savings. If the parents lose their job, they are forced to look for another job immediately to fulfill their needs. In today’s economy, it is very difficult to live without job or save from what you earn unless you have a job paying you a fat income.
The new parents have a lot of advantages over their parents when it comes to technology. As children, the new parents did not have enough access to internet and other technological aspects when compared to what today’s children are enjoying. Though technology has a lot of drawbacks, it makes the life of new parents easier in terms of communication, transportation, banking and various other aspects.
