TB programmes that are meant to educate people about the drugs to be taken during TB, actually propagate development of drug resistant strains. As a result, the TB patients do not react to the existing drugs. While the above flaw continues to mar TB awareness among the people of Lahore, the intellectual and economic poverty makes Pakistanis more vulnerable to this disease.
