Holidays are fun time to be spent with your loved ones. However, there are certain things of which you have to be extremely careful. You must make safety checklist to minimize health risks during Christmas. With some useful tips and efforts, you can avoid unwanted situations. 1. Christmas shopping safety

a. When it comes to Christmas, it has to be shopping in your list as first point. To go for shopping, make sure you prepare a budget on how much you are going to spend. By setting a budget you are not likely to spend excess amount.

b. Be careful and aware of pickpockets and thieves, who always keep an eye for their next victim. Keep your money wallet in safe place where thieves cannot reach. Instead of cash, try to sue credit card.

c. You are advised to avoid crowded places like supermarkets and mall especially during rush hours.

d. Avoid the holiday rush by going for shopping in advance when you have free time so that you can have fun shopping.

2. Christmas decoration safety

a. Decoration means buying a tree, lighting items, sweets and gifts. The major concern you should avoid when it comes to decoration is children’s safety.

b. While buying an artificial tree, make sure it is fire resistant. You can look for the label “Fire Resistant.” Even if this label does not give guarantee that the tree will not catch fire but it indicates that tree can resist burning for some time.

c. While buying gifts for children, look whether it doesn’t include any choking hazards products. The material used should not include any chemicals.

d. Always look for the freshness of the tree. A fresh tree will be green and whose needles will be hard to pull from branch. The trunk will be bit sticky with resin.

e. While buying decoration items like lighting ball or colorful stars, be careful that they are not damaged. Check them all individually and get an idea about each one accordingly.

f. When you place the tree at home, do not keep it near radiators or fireplaces. Make sure you keep the stand full of water.

3. Christmas party safety

a. If you are going to arrange a party for Christmas, then try avoiding lights on metallic. By placing lights on such tree increases the chances of tree to get charged with electricity from faulty lights. If a person touches the tree at such point of time, he could be electrocuted.

b. Make sure you use outdoor lights safely. Look for the labels on outdoor lights to make sure that they are certified for outdoor use. To keep the lights on place, string them with hooks.

c. Make sure you use only flame-resistant materials for trimming the tree.

d. Make sure that you don’t use lighted candles on the tree otherwise, chances of catching the fire increases.

e. Make sure things which are flammable are kept way from children. Avoid getting things which are sharp or breakable so that the risk of your child to get hurt minimizes. Avoid keeping small pieces away from them so that they won’t swallow or inhale it. Do not keep things which look familiar to candy or food that may tempt a young child to eat them.

It is always necessary to follow precautionary measure, especially if you have children at home. Make sure you follow good safety checklist to ensure that things are done in a right way. Try to reduce your stress by making a proper list oif what your plans are before the vacation starts so that you can avoid the rush and continue enjoying your holidays in great way.
