Do not know about you, but the Holiday Season gives me a heady feeling of something like de ja vu. Okay, so people look great, thanks to something called the holiday flush. Also, everybody experiments somewhat differently and usually the results are not so bad. However, somehow the whole thing ends up as fairly satisfactory, good at the most, but nothing on the lines of being great.
Come on fellow fashionistas, you can do so much better! True that whatever you imagine experimenting is either taken or somewhat done to death. Well then, time to look beyond that, right. Who says you only have to think futuristically only?
Take a cue and forge a connection between that and the classics. Some great ideas await you folks.
Think the colors of the Holiday season, instead of black and grey. Your first choice should be white. Remember that you can never go wrong with pure snow white ladies. Think along the lines of shift dresses; pair it with a thin shimmery belt and white stilettos. The best part about white dresses is that you really have a chance to let people take a peek-a-boo glance at your pretty little clothes underneath, if you get what I mean. And yes, do not forget those white diamonds. Choose danglers, not too long. Keep your make-up to a bare minimum, choose something shimmery and peach-ish red for the lips, and you my lady have nailed it right!
If white does not seem right for that beautiful caboose and slightly lady-ish body of yours, here is what you can do. Choose peplum as this season that is going to be your black. Looks powerful and teamed with minimal jewelry should serve your purpose of driving the fact home.
Different Colors and Textures
Ever considered midnight blue? Think tiny length dresses with sequined pieces and dramatic or heavily made up eyes. Magic! Here is a chance for your colored gemstones as well. Do the rings, ears and the hands. Leave the neck alone for once!
LBD was, and still is, a great creation of Chanel. However, think of a LBD in the nude shades. Locks down, slip in and sparkle with shiny, little pieces of jewelry and you have got it right. A glass or ensemble of champagne, anyone?
The finale is always the best and red hot. Yes ladies, red is never out of fashion. How about something futuristic indeed? Think pale yellow jewelry, and shorts in red with a conservative matching red top. Finish it off with black heels and a watch. Cheers!
