This guerilla advertisement campaign was launched by a party supply store that specializes in organizing surprise parties in Toronto. The advertisement was carefully designed and executed with the help of a subway exhaust vent and some streamers and the timing to run the advertisement was strategically chosen only when pedestrians walked beside it and this adjustment of timing proved to be a great challenge for the agency. The main idea was to surprise passers by with flaring up colorful ribbons and then convey its message.
However, it seems that people might have been more interesting in the show rather the message it wants to convey. However, the presentation of the campaign was of course good and the strategy of the campaign was consistent with the products and the nature of product and brand. Though the execution was the toughest part here in the campaign but it was successfully accomplished. The strap line that appeared in the ad reads, ‘surprise party specialists’. The campaign was developed by GJP Advertising + Design, Toronto.
