This billboard advertisement featuring Jennifer Hawkins, former Miss Universe, for lingerie company, Lovable has been declined by the Auckland International Airport saying it was a ‘step too far’. The airport official refused to display this advertisement on the ground that the airport is being visited by people of different nationalities and different ages and the ad was not keeping up with general airport image and the brand.
On the other hand Lovable’s divisional manger Dianne Lane has stated that she was puzzled over the airport’s decision, and especially when it was not a new ad. The company official maintained that they have not received any complaints so far.
