Here is a not-so-good message for the believers from the barns of Comedy central. The TV channel is planning an animated show featuring Jesus Christ, in which he attempts to live a normal life in New York to escape the shadow of his powerful but apathetic father.
The show is said to be only in the pre-production stage, but a widespread storm has already been developed over the proposed show from various quarters.
America’s Family Research Council, The Catholic League and the Parents Television Council have come together to form a coalition to protest the plans. The new group is known as CARB- the Coalition Against Religious Bigotry
The association is urging the advertisers not to support the project, should it ever hit the air. The channel is accused of having âanti-Christian discriminationâ in its approach.
Well, if Jesus lives in New Yorkâ¦there are many options for wild imagination, but it should not be by hurting the religious sentiments. We canât always expect to get money-spinning hype to a product or service by deliberately courting controversies.
