
Despite so much hype created around the latest advertising campaign of GAP that has been woven Audrey Hepburn’s image and the appealing ‘skinny’ black pants, the company is witnessing a drop in its sales by 3 percent in September. The San Francisco based company’s net sales however raised by 4 percent in September as it rose to $1.46 billion compared with $1.41 billion in the corresponding period last year.
The only division, Banana Republic, which recorded a growth of 3 percent against a seven percent decrease a year back was seen in greens otherwise all other divisions of Gap have witnessed a fall in sales in September.
