Which are the most rewarding and lucrative careers? Medicine, engineering, IT, banking⦠Does advertising enter into the top list? Anyway, generally speaking, advertising is not considered as a sought-after profession. However, there is always a notion that advertising is a lucrative profession and mentally rewarding, too. Is that notion wrong?
We have seen how the pink-slipped creatives found out new paths of their lives through lemonade. Now, a promo for a party called Fashion Meets Finance indicates that admen are losers. The party aims to introduce women in the fashion industry to men in the finance industry. Because the organizers think that men in finance are rich and can afford the expensive fancies of fashion-conscious chicks.
The taglines of the promo doesnot respect the admen in anyway. It says- Ladies, you donât need to worry that the cute guy at the bar works in advertising.
Well, poking fun at advertising profession may help to convey their message. However, I do not think that the future of admen is not so dim, even though tough times did some naughty twists in their lives.
