It seems that beach goers and visitors of parks are an easy target of ambient advertising attacks. We have seen how this ambient coffin advertising effort scared the frolicking beach goers, with a good intention indeed. Now, another ambient advertising effort scares visitors in Zurichâs biggest park, who were sleeping with innocent ignorance.
The effort has been carried out by Wirz/BBDO, Zurich To make awareness about the dangers of lying in the sun around the middle of the day is dangerous. The way of communication was interactive and rather intrusive. On the hottest day in July, they went into Zurichâs biggest park and hung tags with the words âSun killsâ around the toes of anyone they found sleeping in the sun.
It may not be a nice feeling for everyone who wakes up from their deep, incomplete sleep to find out an intrusive tag with an equally intrusive message is placed around their toes. But, am I wrong?. It is allegedly generated a lot of feedback and several newspapers ran stories about it.
