Toohey’s ‘For the Love of Beer’ 90-second ad campaign has been re-considered by the Alcohol Beverages Advertising Code after receiving complaints from consumers. The ad has been reportedly has been re-edited and it has further reduced to a 60-second advertisement.
The ABAC has found that this ad promotes excessive drinking and the mood changing effects of beer. In other complaint, apprehensions were shown on depicting two women being sacrificed into the air, but the plea was turned down by the ABAC.
