Business is not a bad word. But there is not a shop which sells love, except brothels. However, the purity of love is not guaranteed there.
If there is no love and respect, you will sell a person, his fame and even his hair.
The story goes back to the 1984 infamous Pepsi commercial shoot during which Michael Jackson’s hair caught on fire. A benevolent man(Ralph Cohen is his name) helped Jackson to extinguish the hair with his Armani jacket. During this incident, Cohen scooped up the hair and put it into the jacket’s pocket, and it still remains. (thus says the wise men). And the story continues.
Collector John Reznikoff received the hair from Cohen and reached out to LifeGem about turning the hair into diamonds. The company had a ârich historyâ of making diamonds with celebrity hair. In 2007 it had created diamonds from Beethoven’s hair. Reznikoff has also rich experience in collecting celebrity hair (Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein and Marilyn Monroe are examples)
Now, the Chicago based jeweler LifeGem, is all set to release a limited collection made from Jacksonâs hair.
