This is an interesting print advertisement campaign launched by History Channel to promote its brand and enlarge its reach. The campaign aims at conveying as events and incidents repeat itself in history pages, the channel too aims to revisit the events and occurrence in its creative way.

The campaign is focusing on political figures that have some resemblance with similar occurrence to convince its message. The advertisements are showing despotic rulers, Hitler being compared with the Zimbabwean Dictator, the accident of Lady Diana draws resemblance with the accident of Princess Grace and finally both senior and junior Bush as they carried similar excursion in the Middle East.

The presentation of the campaign is extremely simple and conveys its message across effectively. The use of old pages to give impression that these are taken from archive or older notebooks was an impressive move for the campaign. However, the art direction seems to be overworking on the campaign. The text of the campaign reads, ‘Unfortunately, we do show repeats. The History Channel’. The campaign was developed by Ogilvy, Johannesburg, South Africa.
