
Open University (OU) has now started vigorously looking for a new advertising agency and the new advertising agency is likely to be entrusted to advice on strategic development for branding and marketing as well. The university’s contract with the incumbent advertising agency, FCBi, is expiring in November. The distance learning university is in hunt for an expert in e-media as the university devotes much of its operations on-line.
At present, the university is working with few other agencies such as Response One, which is entrusted to handle direct marketing and Zed Media is looking after media buying. However, the hunt for the future advertising agency to handle its creative aspects, will be monitored by the head of direct marketing Suzy Magill.
