Nike’s new commercial features LeBron James, Kobe, J-Kidd and others from the American team and surprisingly includes footage of Marvin Gaye singing the National Anthem at the 1983 NBA All-Star Game. Apparently it has become one of the most popular videos on YouTube so far. The ad definitely plays on emotions and sentiments of people like nostalgia and patriotism. Nathan Goldberg and Shannon McGlothin definitely knew it would be a roaring success when they, along with other ad guys at Wieden + Kennedy came up with the ad film for Nike. We feel, this ad will definitely take Nike to new heights and have a stronger fan base in the U.S of A.
