This billboard ad from Lavender magazine has sparked off intense controversy as people have reportedly alleged the advertisement has offended their religious beliefs. The ad appeared at the rear end of few Metro Transit buses for a week. The ad carries a punch line that spells out ‘Unleash your inner gay’, which has supposedly made few people to raise their eyebrows.
On the other hand, Lavender magazine seems to be quite unmoved with the recent development, as they had anticipated some controversy on the word, gay used in the advertisement. Many commuters who find the ad offensive were re-assigned to the buses, which were not carrying the advertisement in question.
