
Cryptometrics, Canada-based security solutions and a specialist in biometrics-based security has recently teamed up with Clear Channel advertising agency to provide security solutions at stations in Mumbai in lieu of advertising rights at the stations. According to reports, another company has also forged an alliance of the similar nature to secure advertising rights from Indian railways.
In the wake of recent Mumbai bomb blast, Indian Railways is quite to improve security arrangements at stations to prevent such incidents to occur. Therefore, Indian Railways has decided to share its ad revenue or source of ad revenue with security solutions companies. Two security solutions companies have already shown their keen interest on selling total security solutions with the help of face-recognition software, closed-circuit television and with other devices in return of advertising rights at stations from Railways.
However, the final deal has not been inked yet due to some hurdles from the both sides.
