How do crazy, cute ideas work in advertising?

The primary aim of advertising is to get the attention of the target audience and make them know about the product. Most of the time, when it comes to brand promotion crazy, cute ideas have their own sheen.

Just consider the new spot for Cadbury, created by Fallon, London. The commercial, a glass and half full of joy, is cute and at the same time the way of its presentation is highly attractive. Though the spot doesn’t tell much about the product, viewers will probably prefer to remember this for a long time and forward it to their friends and relatives.

Another example is the Live Young campaign from Evian. This spot features babies grooving on skates and doing rail slides to “Rapper’s Delight.” My friend has forwarded me this spot, and this is where the cuteness of this spot succeeds. When you see an attractive spot, whether you are interested in ads or not, you make your friends know about it. However, if it is the massage therapist or roadkill detective, you will only send it to a particular group of your friends. Because though they are crazy, they lack the cute element.
