From an ‘appeal’ standpoint, ads that communicate socially-relevant issues have been observed to maintain a fine balance between creativity and realism. One notices this special quality in the design developed by Creative Juice for the Child Protection Foundation of Thailand. Although gore is parked outside the realm of visual interpretation, the agony experienced by sexually-exploited children is effectively conveyed. It is natural to get carried away by the underlying theme, but the ad agency has done a great job by ensuring that only the message is received, with adequate scope offered for imagination. A work of fine art, one must say!
