A golfing field means the absorbtion of 15,000 m3s of water!
Millions of m3s of water will be spent for the irrigation of the new golfing facilities to be built on our Southern shores. The water resources of the region are indeed too limited to meet the needs of the new facilities.

This print advertisement was launched by WWF in order to create awareness regarding environment and natural resource conservation. The advertisements have been centered on Golf that needs a vast area to play on. The first advertisement showing a man taking shot with an axe to depict that building a golf course requires a cutting of a huge number of trees, which will have imminent impact on the environment.

The second advertisement was published in Turkey to persuade people to demand of halting a golf course that was scheduled to be created on the southern shores. The ad is showing a washing sponge to depict how much water a golf course absorbs. Especially in a place where water resources are limited and the available water can be used for irrigation purposes.

The advertisements carry a powerful message which has been wonderfully displayed. The ad was created by Ogilvy & Mather, Istanbul.
