Lauren Lost 175 Pounds in Two Years

Lauren, a powerhouse of a woman who’d always let food control her. She’d struggled with her weight most of her life, dieting, and then bingeing, and never managed to keep off the weight. She struggled with foot and knee injuries that prevented her from exercising and kept her from getting healthy. Then she attended a weight loss retreat, and truly began to learn how to deal with her emotional binge eating. It was there that she finally learned how to let food fuel her and not to control her.

Lauren’s workout regimen means she doesn’t eat light .She eats around 2,000 calories a day. Breakfast is an egg-white breakfast burrito, lunch is a salmon salad, and dinner is a stir fry, and she enjoys Joy’s greens in a glass for a post-workout snack.

If you are trying to lose weight write down what you eat. It will really help you. Remember that you don’t have to be perfect to lose weight. If you get off track, you just get right back on. Don’t let yourself sabotage the rest of the day or week or month. It’s like getting a flat tire, you fix it and move on, and you don’t poke holes in the rest of your tires. Set non-weight-related goals to build your confidence. Sometimes the scale will not be your friend, so you should set goals that are within your control: Sign up for a 5K, start a food journal or blog and commit to it, ditch the diet soda, have a four-day-a-week walking goal. Declare the goal, reach it and set another.

Speak kindly to yourself. Expecting perfection is setting yourself up for failure. When you allow yourself to be imperfect and not beat yourself up, you will find it easier to make the right choices.
