1.      Albuquerque, New Mexico:

This is the largest city in New Mexico. It has the highest percentage of landmass devoted to parkland out of which 28 percent is dedicated to parks and green space. It has almost seven National Parks and receives sunlight for more than 300 days a year. The famous El Malpis National Park is located here.

 

2.      San Francisco, California:

San Francisco is an ideal destination for nature lovers because of its green spaces with 220 parks and 11 National Parks nearby. The Golden Gate Park makes the city visit worth and complete. In the U.S, it is the fifth most visited park.  Many other parks are also found here.

 

3.      Washington D.C.:

The capital city of U.S.A has the two most famous places – The National Mall and the President’s Park. Including these two famous spots there are many other places that will bring you more close to nature. The Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens near the Maryland Borders are two amongst such places. The Park is well known for its abundant water lilies and lotuses and contains remaining tidal wash.

 

4.      Oakland, California:

It has a land area of 155 acres surrounded by the famous Lake Merritt and provides abundant recreation opportunities. At only a few distance from the city is located the Redwood Regional Park where, thrives the hidden redwood forest of about 1350-foot.

 

5.      San Jose, California:

San Jose has nine national parks within its 100 miles area with 14 percent land devoted to green space. Kelly Park that is 172 acres in area is at the end of the Coyote River Park Chain and is a local favorite. The area also has a Japanese Friendship Garden, The History Park Museum and Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.
