1.      Ausburg Eiskanal, Germany:

This was the first ever whitewater course of its kind. It was built exclusively for the 1972 Summer Olympics. The spectator area is a riverbank with terraced grassy lawn. The volume of the water in the course can be controlled through a chain of closable doors. Whitewater canoe and slalom world championships have recently been held here.

2.      Ondrej Cibak Whitewater Slalom Course, Slovakia.

It is the second oldest man made course in Europe. Canoe and Kayak competitions are held here. Professional canoe and kayak training is being given with the best paddlers on its rapids. It also has a water park where family and friends can experience the thrill of the rapids without any experience.

3.      Columbus Whitewater, Georgia:

It is one of the largest urban whitewater courses in the world. The river Chattahoochee powers the rapids of this course. The courses change from easy initially to very challenging further. It is highest at a point to the east of the Rockies. One can enjoy the fun of the rapids in the morning and can have fun shopping and dining at Georgia’s best hotels and shops. 4.      Penrith Whitewater Stadium, Australia:

This is the most spectacular whitewater course in the southern hemisphere. The course aims primarily at teaching and education and is open to public. Slalom competitions are often held here. The stadium has special courses designed for juniors and swift watercourses to teach proper safety procedures on the rapids.

5.      Wadi Adventure, Abu Dhabi:

It has one of the largest man made White water courses. It consists of three extremely large Kayaki and rafting channels. People can have fun on the rapids with the help of professional guides. It also contains an incredible wave pool with 10 feet surfable waves.
