Jordan

 

Jordan is a relatively small country in the Middle East, but has recently grown into a very popular medical tourist’s destination. It is a beautiful country with wonderful historical sites like desert citadels, destroyed Roman cities, castles and other Biblical sites. Jordan helps to combine medical travel and a pleasure trip to the country.

Location

Jordan is located in the south west part of Asia and situated near the south east coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is surrounded by Syria in the north, Iraq on the east, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf of Aqaba on the south and Palestine and Israel being on the west.

People

The people of Jordan are mostly referred as Jordanians, known as very passionate and proud. They welcome visitors warmly regardless of their nationality. Jordan is considered as the safest and most stable country in the region despite of being trapped in between the politically volatile hotspots of Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Israel and the Palestinian territories. Hospitality is the gem of this country helps in attracting maximum tourists annually.

The Jordanian calendar is full of events that include adventure sports and cultural entertainments. These events include Amman stand up comedy bringing comedians from across the Middle East and US. Adventure events include the Jordan International Rally and other includes the Annual Wedding Show at Amman’s Zara expo.

Weather

The weather of Jordan is partly habituated by its altitude with the lowest areas like Jordan Valley and Gulf of Aqaba face extreme summer heat and humidity. The northern and higher altitude areas in comparison to the rest are quite cold in winter.
