Cities around the world are known for amazing streets, which obtain their names from the landmarks associated with it. Streets not only serve to be a pavement, but also characterize the beauty of any city. With the world divided into different countries and each country has their own specialty, it is very much evident as to the way the streets are developed keeping into consideration the environmental and cultural aspects.

 Streets that ignites an interest

The world has advanced into a modern era where designing and developing such streets are being reckoned as a part of enhancing the natural surroundings. People from various countries are enticed to know about the amazing streets that offer stunning vistas around their proximity.

1)   The Baldwin Street is well known for being reckoned as the steepest street in the world. The glimpse of this amazing part can be experienced in Dunedin, a city in New Zealand. This has a reputation of having cities built in and around the hilly and mountainous areas. This is a treat to watch and surprises everyone who in actuality visits the place. Running, crawling and walking are options, which helps one to climb such a testing incline.

2)  The Magic Roundabout in England is an amazing junction, which seems to be funny with inclusions of five smaller additional roundabouts. This is a part of Swindon in England, which was built in the year 1972 and is known for being the worst junction in Great Britain.

3)  The Lombard Street has earned its reputation as the most crooked street of the world. Being located in San Francisco this can be categorized as an amazing part, which is prominent for its eight hairpin turns. The design was made to sustain the natural steep slope of the street.

 

4)  9 de Julio Avenue is an amazing street for travelers. Spanning an entire city block in Downtown Buenos Aires, Argentina with six lanes in either direction makes it the widest street in the world. With garden surroundings amidst the huge traffic and famous landmarks like the old French Embassy and a statue of Don Quixote amongst others this street is merely 1 km in length but surprisingly 110 m in width.

 

5)  Savoy Court in England is a street and an only exception wherein the rules of driving are on the right as compared to the British rules of driving on the left. A special act passed by the Parliament allows such facilitation. For a century now, this street follows this rule, which is unusual and amazing as a change.
