If you have seen Oculus, then chances are already scared of mirrors. And let us not even go back to the time when the Bloody Mary legend made rounds around the world.
But if these creepy images of mirror in the horror genre weren’t enough, here is a real object which is most likely cursed. In St. Francisville, Louisiana, there is a plantation house, which is one of the most haunted houses in America.
Inside the house is this mirror. A cursed mirror. Legend goes that the plantation slave brutally killed the owner of the house, named Sara Woodruff and her daughters inside the house. Ever since then, they remain trapped inside the mirror.
Visitors often report sights of handprints on the mirror, along with some unexplainable strange marks. And the classic haunting is also rumored – figures dressed in white, old fashioned attire, visible on the other side of the mirror.
Burton Agnes Hall’s screaming skull

What if you touch an object, and then you hear terrible, deafening screams? That is precisely what happens when you touch this skull at an Elizabethan manor in England.
Burton Agnes Hall is the house of Katherine Anne Griffith – who was brutally murdered by numerous bullies in 1620. Her skull still rests inside the house. Why? Because whenever someone tried to take it out of the house, what happened next terrified them to the bone.
People who have tried to touch or disturb that skull have reported seeing a scary ghost walk in and utter a deafening scream. This scared the people so much that they actually ran out of the house in terror.
If you are up for a scary challenge, then this might be your chance to prove your mettle to the world. But for the weak-hearted ones, it is wise to simply stay away.
The Hope Diamond

In 1653, a French merchant stole a 115 carat diamond from a Hindu idol’s eye. This diamond was sacred, and for this impunity, the merchant was mauled and killed by the dogs outside the temple.
Since then, the diamond is believed to be one of the most cursed objects in the world. Whoever owns it comes into contact with misfortune, illness, poverty, and death.
You can own a diamond if you like (and if you have enough money). But beware, this diamond might cost you a lot more than money if it is haunted or cursed.

If you have seen even a little bit of mainstream horror, you most likely know who Annabelle is. One of the most cursed objects around, Annabelle the doll is said to be possessed by a dead girl’s spirit.
Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, two of the most famous self-proclaimed demonologists, claim that this doll can move on its own and even write messages, along with acting out some really paranormal stuff.
As of now, the doll is housed inside an exorcised glass box in the Warren Occult Museum, Connecticut. But, who knows, it might just escape and haunt once more.
The Busby Stoop Chair

Sometimes, people are so attached to a materialist object that even after they are gone, the object carries their imprint. The case is similar when it comes to the Busby stoop chair – one of the most cursed objects in the world.
Murderer Thomas Busby was executed in North Yorkshire in 1702. But before that happen, Busby’s last wish was to have a drink while sitting in that chair. This is creepy in itself, considering that Busby had, in that same year, murdered his father-in-law for sitting in his favorite chair.
Busby’s last words were: Death shall come swiftly to anyone who dares to sit in my chair. And death did come swiftly to those who dared.
A lot of WW II soldiers died soon after they sat on the chair, which was then kept in an inn named ‘Busby Stoop Inn’. People believed that those soldiers who sat on that chair never returned from the War.
Till now, the total death count from one of the most terrifying cursed objects has increased to 63. Today, the cursed chair is housed in a museum, hanging 3-feet high from the floor – so that no one may even think about sitting on it.
A cursed phone number
Seriously, there is no escaping a curse. It can be anywhere – in dolls, in diamonds, in chairs, and even in phone numbers.
In Bulgaria, there is this phone number (+359 888 888 888), which is believed to be highly cursed, so much so, that it was in circulation for only 10 years before it was actually suspended by the Bulgarian police.
In the 10 years of circulation, this number changed hands thrice. The first man who used this number shortly and suddenly died of cancer. The other two died of gun wounds. Clearly, this is more than a coincidence.
Numbers can be cursed too. Be aware before you change or switch your number the next time. Who knows, it might be haunted as well.
There are many cursed objects in the world than you can possibly count. Maybe the bed you are sitting on is cursed, or the phone you are reading this on is haunted.
Or, your house might be sheltering evil spirits. Maybe there are cursed objects all around us. You only need to look in the right direction. Be aware.
