You may wish to visit paradise, but can you realize your dream? Well, you have to console your craving eyes with the explanation that some of the most desirable things are beyond your reach and you should learn to appreciate them from a distance because they are mysterious and their very existence is a debatable issue. This disheartening fact holds true for certain places on earth that rate high on the curiosity scale, but which are closed for public excursion, for military reasons. The existence of some of these places also seems to be purported.

Metro 2 – Moscow’s Mysterious Underground Railway System

If you have nursed a desire to view the Metro 2 of Moscow but are feeling bad that it is closed to public, placate your heart with the knowledge that the very existence of this underground system that is believed to be at par with the Moscow Metro, is debatable!  The Moscow metro administrators or the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, have given an ambiguous impression about the existence of this mega railway system that is known to connect locations of national and political significance.

You may not see this place, but mentioned further are certain facts that may satiate your curiosity about this enigmatic railway system. For instance, this metro system which is believed to have been built during Stalin’s tenure was better known as D-6 amongst members of the KGB. Next, it seemed to link Kremlin with the FSB main office, the Vnuovo government airport, and an underground town of the Russian Ramenki district.

Do you belong to the British royal family or are you an extremely influential political or entertainment-industry personality? If no, which is most probably going to be your answer, you can forget thinking of visiting this lionized English club for gentlemen, which was originally started by Franseco Bianco(1693) to sell his hot chocolate, but which turned into a very famous betting club , over time. ‘Which raindrop on the window sill will slide down first?’ -this popular 3000 pound bet, which you might have heard about, was made in this very unisex club, which allows membership for only males who are invited by sitting members, with the invitation being supported by a couple of other members.

If you are thinking of taking a peek into the Area 51(nicknamed by the US military), be prepared for facing ‘deadly force’ by the US military forces! Well, this highly restricted area, in the southern region of Nevada and located north of north-western Las Vegas, is believed to be meant for testing pilot projects with weapon systems  and experimental aircrafts. This military base, which is central to public beliefs themed on conspiracies and UFOs, is kept so secretive by the US government that its very existence is denied.

Room 39 – The North Korean organization that allegedly performs the shadiest money operations of the country!

Room 39 sounds a name directly out of a detective story! Do not be surprised if the activities of this organization, which is supposedly located in the Worker’s Party building of Pyongyang, are mal-reputed for their illegal monetary dealings. Also known as Bureau 39, this organization which is assumed to be under the direct supervision of Kim Jong-il, Chairman of the Korean National Defense Commission, is alleged to be involved in activities aimed at procuring foreign currency for Jon-li by performing activities such as money laundering and counterfeiting amongst others, which it does through its accounts in about 20 banks in China and Switzerland.

Isa Grand Shrine –the Japanese Sun Goddess Shrine meant for viewing by the Imperial Japanese! 

In this modern age of equality, the Isa Grand Shrine, built for Amaretsu (the Japanese Sun–Goddess), seems to grant the privilege of entering the shrine to only imperial Japanese priests. This 4th century BC shrine is demolished and rebuilt every 20 years, in compliance with the Shinto belief of death and rebirth.

Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center- Hope that you never get to see it! 

The US Government’s Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center is the place where one would want to take shelter in at the time of calamity. Presently, much of the telecommunications is channelized through this area, at the time of emergency. Surely, you will not want to visit this 1950s cold war FEMA ( (Federal Emergency Management Agency) administered refuge anytime now or the near future. Would you want to visit this place, as that would mean you and the nation being in some ominous situation? 

RAF Menwith Hill – The World’s biggest Electronic Spying Station

The RAF Menwith, a British Military electronic spying system, associated with the ECHOLON spy web, is a satellite station for interspersing satellite communications and sending out missile warnings. This highly sophisticated information tracking system built in the 1960s, which supervises the satellites operated by the National Reconnaissance Office, is also know for busting notorious terrorist plans, and other communications related to illicit drug dealing, and political intelligence.

Though not listed in the top 7 places that you wish to visit but are not allowed to, three more locations that fall into the category are Mezgorye( Russian closed town), the Vatican Secret Archives, and Club 33( Disneyland’s private club).
