People mostly plan for a beach holidays as they want to relax, do some swimming or gather some sunlight. Nobody goes for a beach holiday to take their lives in their own hands. Yes, that is what happens when you visit some of the dangerous beaches having killers jellyfish, rip currents, baby-eating dingoes or lots and lots of pollution. Several such beaches around the world are really dangerous to be visited. Check out which beaches are unsuitable for a visit so you may avoid planning any holiday there.

Fraser Island, Australia:
Fraser Island is located on the southeast of Queensland. It is strictly a no-no to go to the seas around this island. This is because of the dangerous jellyfish and sharks making their homes there. That is not all–there also are strong rip currents flowing through these waters. You have a danger of getting attacked by the world’s deadliest saltwater crocodiles, dingoes and spiders. So, if you really want to secure yourself, remain away from this seawater.

Hanakapiai, Hawaii:
People generally visit a sea beach so they can relax by swimming into the waters. But if you go swimming into the waters at the Hanakapiai Beach, you would just have fear in your mind as unseen currents have eaten up more than 80 people at this place. There are signboards kept at these places for warning people of entering these waters as rip currents, as well as powerful waves make swimming a hazardous activity here. There have been several reports of missing people who got drowned while paddling in the shallow areas. So, keep away your tempting mind as entering the sea here can get you in deep dangers.

Praia de Boa Viegem, Brazil:
Before 1992, this sandy beach was considered to a safe and sound spot for travelers to visit throughout the year. People used to bathe in seawaters and then take some sunshine away with them. But, this beach lost its shine later when several shark attack cases were reported from this place. You would surely get reminded of the Bob Misiorowski movie ‘Shark Attack’ when you listen to the stories of this beach. Since 1992, there have been at least 50 recorded shark attack cases. Nobody knows of the rest! 19 of the recorded cases were fatal in nature. According to some environmentalists, this beach in Recife, Brazil has come to this fate due to the constantly destructed coastal ecosystem. If this is not a sufficient reason to not to visit this place, there is additionally violent crime prevalent in this city. So, get set and go away from this place if you are anywhere around.

Northern Territory and Queensland, Australia:
Since 1883, there have been 70 reported deaths across northern Australian beaches because of the deadly box jellyfish. The presence of this creature gets beach businesses shut down between October and April every year across northern Australia. This venomous creature stings so badly that people cannot even reach the shore at times because they get cardiac arrest. So, it is better to be safe than sorry if you are planning to go to any of these beaches during the said season.

Chowpatty Beach, Mumbai, India:
Even if the water looks lovely, avoid this beach as it is considered to be one of the most polluted beaches in the world. The water is completely unfit at this beach for swimming purposes. So, if you thoughts only natural reasons can make you stay away from a beach, that’s untrue in this case as the danger is man-made.

Bikini Atoll, US Marshall Islands:
There are two major reasons to stay away from this beach–dangerous sharks and harmful nuclear radiation. From 1946 to 1958, there were more than 20 nuclear tests done. The effects reflect in its locally grown food that is not advisable for consumption. So, even original residents refuse to come back to this area. Also, there has not been any fishing here for the last 65 years and that has led to a flourishing life for sharks. Thus, shark attack possibilities have highly increased for divers. Completely avoid a visit to this beach if you do not want to be eaten hungry.

Kilauea, Hawaii:
Kilauea is the largest island of Hawaii where this black sandy beach is located. But beware of it as the beach lies next to an active volcano! This volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Its lava has been going into the sea since 1983 as it often erupts. Apart from this, there have been more than 100 shark attacks since 1828 that were unprovoked but were still fatal in nature. So, decide if you wish to share the bed with an active volcano or a shark. You would obviously avoid both if you love your life.
