Jardin Exotique de Monaco

Jardin Exotique de Monaco

The Jardin Exotique de Monaco is a botanical garden located on a cliffside in Monaco. Initially, in 1895, the collection of cacti and succulents was started here; later, the exotic garden was opened in 1993. The center of attraction of the Jardin Exotique de Monaco is a collection of 1000 species of cacti and succulents. The garden is quite steep and covers an area around three acres. The water source that supplies water to the garden and drinking water to much of Monaco’s areas is the same.

The garden includes around 10,000 species of plants and 3,000 species of cactus and other succulents, which are arranged very attractively in rocky beds. At the top plateau of the garden, you can visit a large cavern. At the bottom of the garden, the carven is full of stalactites and stalagmites. This place is must see for those who love to collect information about various plant’s species. Throughout the year, the Jardin Exotique de Monaco welcomes approximately 300,000 visitors. The place is easily accessible on foot or via bus.
