In many ancient civilizations bathing and swimming had been a form of luxury. The Romans made elaborate public bathing houses where the elites would take sauna and a dip in the pristine pool. Even the people of Indus valley civilization had built a huge public bathing house where there was a swimming pool. Swimming and bathing have always been a way of relaxation and enjoyment.
