Five awe-inspiring views in the world

Many things can leave one speechless, particularly the sight of nature in its glory.  A breathtaking view is something that makes a human being feel humble and at the same time brings an awareness of the mysticism of nature.

1.  Macha Picchu, Peru

Being able to see the mystical Incan ruins at Macha Picchu in Peru amidst the cloudy surroundings is something surreal.  This ‘Lost City of the Incas’ was only discovered as early as 1911 and there is nothing that tells us about the reason for this architectural marvel, with numerous theories that have been propounded nonetheless.  Whatever the reason, the ruins at Macha Picchu are amazing to behold and render you speechless.

2.  Glacier National Park is one of America’s true treasures.

Although there are various national parks in the US that are more popular like the Yellowstone National Park, yet the Glacier National Park located in the state of Montana wins hands down when it comes to scenic beauty.

The entire part is abundant in water bodies, mountain peaks, flora and fauna.  The park used to have 150 glaciers; however it is unfortunately now left with only 26 owing to climate change which has melted away most of the glaciers.

3.  Galapagos Islands

These islands were first explored by Charles Darwin, who discovered numerous species that were unknown and till this date, this archipelago of islands is the most breathtaking when it comes to nature’s bounty and a haven for scuba divers.  This pristine group of islands are also home to the Galapagos turtles.

4.  Earthrise

The high-resolution pictures from NASA of the Earth as seen from outer space are extremely awe-inspiring.  The vivid colours of the land and the sea along with the ability to see our planet transition in different times of the day makes a marvellous image and is indeed a great vista to behold.

5.  Sistine Chapel, Italy

Michelangelo’s distinguished work of art in the Sistine Chapel of Rome is one of the most breathtaking pieces of Renaissance art.  This massive fresco painting forms one single piece and is one of Michelangelo’s masterpieces.  Michelangelo has described his tedious art piece as one that caused him extreme discomfort and a lot of hard work to complete.

Summary:

Although there are numerous views in the world that would leave you spellbound; however, these views would simply amaze you with their serene and breathtaking views.
