Being the fifth largest country in the world, Brazil is amongst the most visited places in the world. Brazil has a rich history and cultural heritage. The various colors of the city can be seen through its art and festivals. Nature too has created many beautiful wonders here. Some of the best tourist attraction spots are:

  • The statue of Christ The Redeemer: Being 130 feet tall, this statue of Jesus Christ is located on the peak of Mt. Corcovado, in Rio de Janeiro. This is considered to be the fifth highest statue of Jesus Christ.

  • Salvador Beaches: Located in city of Salvador in the state of Bahia, there are many wonderful beaches starting from peaceful inlets which are suitable for swimming, sailing and diving to open sea inlets perfect for surfers. Also there are few beaches surrounded by reefs resembling natural pools for people who are not into swimming or surfing and ofcourse for children.

  • Iguazu Waterfalls: Located on the border of Brazil and Argentina, this system of waterfall consists of 527 falls in total out which many are as high as 80 meter. This is a wonderful creation of Nature perfect for the shutterbugs.

  • Amazon River: Being the second longest in river in the world and the river with the largest volume of water, Amazon has some 3000 species of fish and many are yet to be discovered.  This is an example of a typical rain forest with millions of species of living organisms. Tourists are more into boating in the river than going for forest expeditions as there are many varieties of poisonous spiders and insects and the forest cover is so thick that it is virtually impossible to spot wildlife.

  • Rio Carnival: Brazil is famous for her carnivals and during the season of carnivals there are carnivals on every streets and corners of Brazil. The most famous among these is the Rio carnival that that takes place in the city of Rio de Janeiro and is alos the biggest with 2 million people hitting the street every day. These carnivals are very colorful and attracts tourist from every part of the world.

  • The Pantanal: Lying in western Brazil, this swamp area is famous for its wildlife and attracts many tourists. This place is home to millions of jaguars and apart from that many different animals can be spotted here in the wetlands.

  • Sugarloaf Mountain: Located again in the city of Rio de Janeiro, this mountain is 396 feet tall and resembles a loaf sugar and hence the name. It is on the Guanabara Bay peninsula and has been used by navigators to locate the same. There are two other mountains in this area viz. Babylon Mountain and Urca’s Mountain and is famous for rock climbing. Others use cable cars to reach the top of the mountain and enjoy the magnificent sight.

  • Fernando de Noronha: This is a collection of beautiful islands along the northeastern coast of Brazil and consists of many beautiful beaches, amazing landscape and wildlife. Founded by Amerigo Vespucci in 1503, not all islands have human habitations.

  • Ouro Preto: Ouro Preto or black gold is one of Brazil’s oldest town and consists of well preserved Portuguese architecture. Also the modern houses have to stick to historical standards. There are many churches, some decorated with gold and many other sculptures that make this city famous.

  • Olinda: Last but not the least, this is another historical city located in Brazil and the historic downtown area and the churches make this city popular.
