AIRBUS 2050

World class aircraft manufacturer, Airbus has unveiled their concept of what the aircraft of 2050 will look like. Relegate technology to the backseat, and concentrate on aesthetics for a change. The entire cabin structure will be designed with a carbon fibre that will enable the body of the craft itself to be transparent. Thus, for the first time, you will feel that you are literally feel that you are flying, and not merely travelling in a box –in-the-air. Apart from this, compartmentalisation of individuals will be done away with, and the whole structure reorganised to form personalised zones. The benefit ?? Now, while in transit, people can host a conference, or play a game or two in virtual reality, all while watching the world float on beneath their feet. Thus, the airplane of 2050 will be less of an airplane and more of your own bedroom.

Let the focus shift onto blatant technology. There is nothing to mention about the fact that steps will be taken to ensure safer flights and more secure airtime. Apart from this, Airbus has thrown aside the curtains on their latest Concept Cabin technology, which makes for a neural network between the passenger and his specific cabin, thus allowing for the cabin to understand the needs of the passenger all by itself; in short, the cabin is allowed to have a brain of its own. Morphing seats that naturally adapt to the seating style of the passenger, vitalising zones that provide therapeutic sessions and so on, interactive zones that allow the passenger to be in the atmosphere he or she wants to be, through holographic and virtual implantation of reality.

Apart from this, Airbus has imbibed a host of other features and technological innovations that will make the skies of 2050 a lot more, apart from safer, cleaner. With their Eco-Climb, they have managed to make takeoffs and landings emission-free as well as enabling the aircraft to take a lot less space to facilitate the entire process. Thus, future runways may be shorter in length. In addition to this, they have analysed the statistics of millions of aircraft passengers, and thus based on these feedbacks, have anticipated customer demand patterns by the year 2050. Therefore, in the words of Airbus themselves, they want the journey to be one of discovery for the passenger, and not just about reaching the destination; for it is the journey that counts.
