The TajMahal
One of the world’s greatest monument standing one among the seven wonders and a pride to India is TajMahal. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to express his love towards his wife Muntazmahal. She desired Shah Jahan to build a great mausoleum for her while taking her last breath in 1631. In 1632 building was began as symbol for love.
Amritsar
Holy Amritsar is the holy place for Sikh religion, it is located in the north-west part of India in Punjab state. The major attraction of the place Amritsar is the beautiful and enthralling Golden Temple that was made with white marble, gold and bronze leaf. Maharaja Ranjit Singh built the Golden Temple in 1803 which has four entrances. One must wear a headscarf to enter into the temple as a purification ritual.
Jaipur
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is popularly renowned as ‘Pink City’. It is a place to watch the beauty of Rajasthani architecture. Maharaja Jai Singh II, a visionary and skilled astronomer had chosen Jaipur for his capital. Among the five observatories built by the astronomer prince JantarMantar is one of the largest and the best one. Other places to explore in the city includes the ‘City Palace Complex’, which shows the Rajasthani as well as Mughal architecture.
Darjeeling
Darjeeling is located in the West Bengal state with nearly 2200m altitude. It consists of snow capped Himalayan peaks as its backdrop and is encompassed with verdant tea plantations. It is one of the best places to rest yourself to beat the summer heat. Some of the main attractions of the place includes lust tea plants, Buddhist monasteries, colorful markets and areas with trekking possibilities. From the town itself one can watch the third highest mountain on the earth ‘Kanchenjunga’, it is especially seen in the months from mid-April to the end of June.
Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is located in the Thar Desert. It is a town with medieval walled sandstone that looks beautiful and exotic. It has become one of the favorite tourist destinations of Rajasthan. The old fort city appears like a large sandcastle.One can enter through the series of gargantuan gates that points to long courtyard. People can notice number of alleyways and many streets that are lined with small shops, jain temples and the palace of former ruler. Camel safaris in the vicinity of the desert are one famous fun filled activity.
Delhi
Capital of the nation, Delhi was officially separated into parts. New Delhi- It is a clean and modern mostly built by the British. Old Delhi, seems less clean but is standing great with the Mughal architecture that is dating to 10th century.
Goa
It is one of India’s top hot spots to visit. The series of palm-lined beaches are the main beauty corners of Goa. Goa splits into two districts: North Goa and south Goa. North Goa consists of famous beaches includes Fort Aguada, Calangute, Candolim and Anjuna. South Goa beaches includes Colva, Bogmalo and Benaulim.
