There are a number of places in earth that can be termed as mysterious. The planet Earth has concealed many places that cannot be explained scientifically or mythologically. However, these places have become the pivot of attraction and invite a lot of tourists every day. These places are worth watching as they make you believe many things exist in world, which are not in the control of human or nature rather a supernatural power has its effect on them.

Let us discuss some of those places, which are beautiful and worth visiting though mysterious.

1.       Underwater Ruins, Japan

The underwater ruins in Japan are present in the ocean of the southern coast of Yonaguni. These ruins were discovered in 1995 by a stray diver in Japan. The underwater ruins are considered to be results of natural disaster. However, it has been confirmed that the ruins are manmade. You will find it exciting enough to see the place by scuba diving.

2.      Sanqingxiang, China

Sanqingxiang is a small national park in China in Jiangxi province. The park looks complete with its shear natural beauty. The mystique of this place navigates to the combination of extraordinary granite geology in a form of weird outcrops and pillars combined with seasonal climate variations. This place is believed to be very tranquil and peaceful.

3.      Groom Lake, Nevada

Groom lake is a salt flat in Nevada, US. This lake is prominently used for the runways of the Nellis Bombing range test site airport on the north of the Area 51 USAF. It is believed that many extra-terrestrial activities happen there and this base also has remnants of many UFOs.

4.      Eye of Africa, Mauritania

The Richat Structure, famously known as the eye of Africa is situated in the central Mauritania. It was misjudged to be a meteorite when the scientists first saw it from the space. This structure has a diameter of 48 Kilometres. It is believed to be a symmetrical uplift of land. However, the accurate explanation of the circular structure is yet to be available.

The Racetrack Playa is a dry lake and pretty scenic, which accommodates sailing stones to imprint linear racetracks. It is located above the north-western side of the Death Valley national Park in California. The height of this park is 3608 feet above the sea level and it is expanded to 4.5 km in length and 2 km in width. The complete area is covered with cracked mud. The mystique that lies here is not even explained by NASA. The rocks weighing around hundreds of pound in this dry lake sail across the sediments leaving the furrows in their wakes. However, no one has ever witnessed the movement.

6.      Rio Tinto, Spain

Spain is not only famous for bull fights, matadors, tomatino festivals or excellent Spanish dishes. It also offers some genuine mysterious places, which are worth visiting. Rio Tinto might give you an impression of the planet Mars when you have a glance on it. Rio Tinto is located in the south-western region of the country. Rio Tinto is a river with red and acidic water. The water has got the red appearance due to presence of excessive iron and other minerals. However, the acidic property of the water is still a matter of research for the scientists. The river along with a site is mined for gold, copper, and silver since ages.

7.      Lake Vostok, Antarctica

Lake Vostok is the largest of all the lakes present in Antarctica. It is spread across 250 km in length and 50 km in width. Being a sub glacial lake, this is an attractive spot for tourists. Though Antarctica is one of the least explored places, many travel to see Lake Vostok. The freshwater surface of the lake is spread across an area of 4,000 m under the ice surface. Scientists still believe the water samples from the lower depth of the lake might prove existence of life in past.

8.      Easter Islands, Chile

Easter Islands offer a scenic view of the warrior statues, which are at least 33 feet tall. The island is located about 2000 miles from Chile to Tahiti. There are more than 800 statues, which are also called Moai. These statues are carved from volcanic and porous rocks. The structures of the statues resemble enormous heads with truncated torsos. They are believed to be the representations of Gods, mythical creatures, or revered ancestors.

9.      Brown Mountain Lights, California

Brown Mountain Lights are popularly known as ghost lights and can be seen in North California. The mysterious lighting is clearly visible from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Table Rock. The best time to see the lights are from September to early November. The actual reason of the appearance of such lighting is yet to be discovered. However, it can be believed to be a magical activity playing with poor human minds.
