Mokolodi Nature Reserve

Situated on 30km square of land just 10km south-west of capital city of Bostswana, Gaborone, the Mokolodi Nature Reserve operates on a non-for-profit basis.Mokolodi hosts a wide range of wild animals including leopards, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, different antelopes, and many more. It also includes a variety of small animals and birds. Other animals include indigenous African game, bird, and reptile species, some of which are endangered and extinct. The Reserve has numerous species of lizards and snakes, and has a vast range of resident and migratory bird species.

The nature reserve aims at providing the environmental and conservation education to the people and children. The park is developed as a game sanctuary with an extensive network of paths, which permits viewing the wild life at close quarters. Now, the park administration has plans for future for expanding its limits of conservation area up to the Lion Park.

Accommodation facilities in tents are provided to visitors for camping at the site. Visitors can bring their own tents. Facilities for banking and internet are available in Gaborone, just 10km from the reserve.
